Sittin’, Drinkin’, Superficially Thinkin’…

out-of-our-heads-us-600x600Sittin’, Drinkin’, Superficially Thinkin’…

Isn’t that a great line?

I mean, it’s not meant to be a lifestyle or anything, but just as a line to say when someone asks, “What’s up?”…  It works.

That line is from a 1965 Rolling Stones song, “The Spider and the Fly”.  The storyline in the song is about a musician on tour who is trying (unsuccessfully) to be faithful to his girlfriend back home.  It is a great bluesy tune and all, but it’s that line, ‘Sittin’, drinkin’, superficially thinkin’… that makes the song appealing to me.

One of my readers emailed me, “Really liked your blog yesterday….how do you think of these things!?”

The thing is, I don’t really ‘think’ of them.  Most of the blogs have been based on musings that have been interesting to me for years.

The story lines and scenes for the comics approach me in a different way.  Most often, ideas come to me when I am not really thinking of anything in particular and, Kapow!  An idea occurs.  Just like that, without even an introduction.

No introduction needed for this week’s scene, Chapter Seven, Scene Six of Contentment is for Cows.

We have Facebook.  Twitter too, but the best way to follow the story is to sign up for the blog via your email.  The blog posts the same time as new scenes are posted on the comics page.

Enjoy!
