Creating Time
How do you create time in order to create? Finding time to spend on a creative project can be a challenge. It is not insurmountable, it is part of the democratic 24 hours that we all get. As I became more and more engaged in this comics venture I found I would get frustrated if weeks went by before I could spend any time on it. My way of solving the problem has been to give up other things. I don’t cook as often as I used to, I don’t read as many books, and for sure I rarely ever watch a complete football game as I used to.
Drawing and painting these pages takes me a lot of time. For one complete page, I probably have, on average, at least 4 hours invested in it. A reader probably spends 30 seconds looking at it.
I might miss not being up on the latest bestsellers, I definitely miss my own cooking, but the time I spend creating these pages is far more rewarding.

Finding time for creativity is a daily challenge. I struggle to get to the gym, make time to write, make time for hobbies and make time for those requirements of maintaining a household. If you find the answer — please let your readers know the secret!
I have been known to forgo laundry for the sake of my art. I wish I had a better secret to share, but that is it!
