DayDreaming is Good For You
George Carlin declared in one of his stage shows that every child should have three hours a day of daydreaming time. And adults should too.
In this hyperactive, over-scheduled, over-screened world, to sit and gaze out a window with no particular agenda, well, therein is the appeal of a good daydreaming session… Daydreams have no agenda, they are not the stuff of plans, brainstorming, or ‘deliberate manifestations’; they are whimsical flights of fancy that simply provide a break from the above mentioned hyperactive over-scheduled, over-screened world.
As George Carlin says, pull a chair over to the window and try it.
