Life sometimes can interfere with creative pursuits.

Artists, writers, and other creatives who began their careers early, and stuck with it, clearly had the belief and the fortitude to stay with their art and forgo the security of a regular (non-creative) paying job.   

For others, their creativity died in direct correlation to their mortgage payments.    

How many rock and roll songs are about putting away the guitar and getting a real job?  I bet you can name at least three.
