...Procrastinating...

…Procrastinating…

There must be a law of nature somewhere stating that the bigger the project, the more time needed to procrastinate beforehand.

I’ve let time lapse between projects and now I am actively procrastinating the start of another. From experience, I know all I need to do is start the damn thing. It’s a big project, hence the motivation to procrastinate. I’ve turned to Twitter so I can kill time and still learn enough new things to pretend I’m not procrastinating at all. Two birds with one stone. So efficient.

Yesterday, I turned to Twitter just to spend just a few minutes to think of something to write for this blog.

And there, offered up as top tweet, I kid you not, was the following from Tracy Chevalier;

HARSH WRITING ADVICE:

Don’t write about yourself. You’re not as interesting as you think.

So much for writing about my thoughts on cooking for one…

I continued to scroll, determined to ignore the fact that I was merely procrastinating — and then I came across this gem;

If you opened your manuscript as much as you did Twitter, it’d be done by now.

Geez Twitter. What a nag.

Stay safe everyone.
