Life and Other Things
Every once in a while in my quest to post every week come hell or high water, the writing of this blog has gotten in the way. And every once in a while, life gets in the way of writing the blog.
For the first time since I started posting in January of 2015, I could not manage either the time or the inclination to post on June 23rd.
I am needed elsewhere these days. Time and circumstances are forcing my priorities.
My husband was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2014. Since that time, even when he has been on treatments, we have been able to go about our lives as we would have normally. Recently though, cancer has been ‘in our face’ so to speak.
The saying in our house is ‘F*#K Cancer’. We symbolize that saying with images of skulls. I have skull earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, and of course t-shirts. We listen to ACDC, ‘Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be’.
Humour goes a long way, ghoulish or otherwise.
So raise a tot of Crystal Skull vodka for us and for those you have loved and lost to cancer. You know what to say as a toast…
I will be back I just can’t say when.
