Perfection is only a Concept

Have-No-Fear-DaliIt is tempting to say Salvador Dali’s quote “Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it.” is perfect. But perfection is only a concept, and a subjective one at that.  (Wait — Aren’t all concepts subjective?)

Whatever you are working on, or creating, –at some point you need to step back and be willing to declare it ‘finished’ — imperfections and all.  And then the fun begins.  You get to share it.

Owning that it would never be ‘perfect’, but at least a fun challenge, I published the Contentment is for Cows web site on January 2, 2015.  ‘Fun challenge’ may not quite describe it, but we’ll save that for another time.  Right now, I would like to sincerely thank all of my readers for the support I have received over the past year.  (Particular thanks goes to my sisters for their tireless encouragement and supplying endless fodder for material…)

After meeting a self-imposed deadline, posting Contentment is for Cows every Sunday this past year, I will be taking a short break.  There will be no post for the next two weeks –But take heart!  Publications will resume again January 9, 2016.

This week’s imperfect pages, Chapter Five, Scene Two have been uploaded to www.contentmentisforcows.com.

Enjoy the Season, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year,

Anne Milne
