No Beige Allowed

CH5_SC18_PG1Colour.  Big fan.  And, I prefer the Canadian spelling too.

I wear colourful clothes, I paint my fingernails, I do not own a ‘little black dress’, and every room in my house has a colour.  No beige allowed.

My expression is ‘I like a colour to hit the back of my eye’.

Painting my comic pages adds a heck of a lot of extra time to the process.  However, it is a trade off I am willing to make because colour adds to the look and feel I am trying to create.  In previous chapters I experimented with leaving the pages partially painted, or in black and white… but bottom line, I prefer them in colour.  Besides, truth be told, I enjoy that moment when the drawing is done and I can pick up the paint brush.

Theories abound about the therapeutic power of colours.  Apparently wearing certain colours can help you attract what you want in life; everything from winning contests (wear green) to success, (wear red), to attracting a relationship, (wear orange).  Google away my friends, there are lots of reasons not to live in the world of beige.

This week’s installment of Contentment is for Cows has been uploaded — in colour of course.

The readers who enjoy this blog and comic strip the most are the readers who have signed up via email… an easy way to make your Sunday just that much more colourful.

We have Facebook.  Twitter too.

And just a reminder, Dear Readers, there will be no post Labour Day weekend while yours truly takes a break.

Enjoy!
